I'm Kim, a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist based in Harrogate, and I help owners across Yorkshire, and online, UK-wide, set their puppies up for a confident, well-adjusted adult life. The habits and experiences your puppy has now shape the dog they become, and getting this stage right makes everything after it easier.

Off-lead freedom is one of the great joys of having a dog. We start building reliable recall from the very beginning.

Foundations

Toilet training, handling, socialisation, and settling into home life — the groundwork that everything else builds on.


Home alone and independence

Teaching your puppy to feel comfortable being left, gradually and without stress, so separation anxiety never gets the chance to take hold.


Lead walking

Loose lead walking, built in gradually so walks are a pleasure rather than a tug of war, at any age.


Adolescent support

The teenage months can be a shock after the puppy stage. Having a plan in place makes this transition far easier for you both.
